Provider Account Deletion Policy

Effective / Last Updated: July 30, 2026

This Provider Account Deletion Policy explains how Service Providers and Employees can request deletion of their WashPot accounts and how associated information is handled after a deletion request.

This policy applies only to the WashPot Provider Application.

1. Requesting Account Deletion

Service Providers — A Service Provider may request deletion of their account by using the Delete Account option within the WashPot Provider Application (if available), or by contacting WashPot using the registered email address. Identity verification may be required before processing a deletion request.

Employees — Employee accounts are associated with a single Service Provider. An Employee account may be deleted by the associated Service Provider, by WashPot where appropriate, or following a verified deletion request from the Employee.

2. What Happens After Provider Account Deletion

When a Provider account deletion request is processed:

  • Login access is permanently disabled.
  • The registered email address is anonymised.
  • Business name is anonymised.
  • Business address is anonymised.
  • Profile image is permanently deleted.
  • Personally identifiable information is removed or anonymised where reasonably practicable.

Deleted Provider accounts cannot be restored. A new Provider account must be created to use the WashPot Provider Application again.

3. What Happens After Employee Account Deletion

When an Employee account is deleted:

  • Login access is permanently disabled.
  • The Employee can no longer access the Provider Application.
  • The Employee is removed from the associated Service Provider.

If the Employee later joins another Service Provider, a new Employee account must be created using that Provider's registration process. Deleted Employee accounts cannot be restored.

4. Information That May Be Retained

WashPot may retain certain information after account deletion where permitted or required by applicable law, including historical booking records, ratings and reviews, operational records, security and audit records, fraud prevention records, and information required for legal, accounting, taxation, or dispute resolution purposes.

Where reasonably practicable, retained records will no longer identify the deleted Provider or Employee.

5. Business Data

Deleting a Provider account does not automatically remove historical marketplace records. The following information may continue to exist in anonymised or non-identifiable form: completed bookings, service history, operational statistics, customer reviews and ratings, and marketplace reporting information.

This helps maintain the integrity of historical marketplace records.

6. Employee Data

When an Employee account is deleted, the Employee profile is removed from the Provider, login credentials become invalid, and personally identifiable information is removed or anonymised where reasonably practicable.

WashPot may retain limited operational records where necessary for security, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.

7. Time Required

WashPot aims to process verified deletion requests within a reasonable period. Processing time may vary depending on operational requirements, technical limitations, or legal obligations.

8. Exceptions

WashPot may delay, refuse, or partially process a deletion request where retention of information is necessary to comply with applicable law, investigate fraud or security incidents, resolve disputes, enforce contractual rights, or protect the rights, safety, or security of WashPot, Customers, Providers, Employees, or the public.
